Michel Roux has been resident in Switzerland for over 10 years.  Not known for resting on his laurels he could not resist the temptation of opening “a little place” in his home town of Crans-Montana in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

2016 saw the launch of his bistro, Restaurant Le XIX, situated by the world class Severiano Balesteros golf course.  It may be a world away from the Michelin 3 stars of The Waterside Inn but there is still the attention to detail.  Quality ingredients, fine cooking, beautifully selected wines and breath-taking mountain views all year round have already resulted in it being listed in the Swiss Michelin Guide 2017.

Whether you just drop in for a drink with friends at the bar, a bite of lunch or dinner in the restaurant or take a private party below stairs you know you are sure of a warm welcome, great cuisine at the hands of ex-Waterside Inn sous chef Stephane Colliet and a cosy comfortable atmosphere.  He has distilled the essence of Switzerland with his typical french flair.
